Chak Au is the Member of Parliament for Richmond Centre—Marpole, British Columbia, representing the Conservative Party. 

He serves on the Standing Committee on Public Safety and National Security. 

Before entering federal politics, he served as a Richmond City Councillor (since 2011) and had a long career in mental health and counselling.
