Teresa Wat was elected to represent the riding of Richmond Center and appointed Minister for International Trade and Minister Responsible for the Asia Pacific Strategy and Multiculturalism on June 7, 2013.

She also serves as a member of the Cabinet Committee on Strong Economy and the Priorities and Planning Committee.

She was a recipient of QE II Diamond Jubilee Award in 2013.
