Shoreline Clean-up

We are excited to partner with Platinum Pro-Claim Restoration, who has proudly organized this community initiative for the past 10 years, and 505-Junk to bring back the Shoreline Clean-up! You are invited to join us and help clear waste from the banks of the Fraser River, protecting our waterways and ecosystem. 

Roll up your sleeves and pitch in for a fun Saturday of volunteering with your colleagues, friends, or family. PPE will be provided to shoreline cleaners and waste sorters! Volunteers are invited to celebrate their hard work at the thank-you lunch at Platinum Pro-Claim Restoration.

You’ll be making a big difference to Richmond’s shorelines, our ecosystem, and building community! We need volunteers in two areas:

• Shoreline Cleanup Crew at Nelson Road Beach
• Shoreline Cleanup Crew at River Road Shoreline

This is a free event open to everyone, though we ask that you register to let us know you are coming.

Disclaimer: Volunteers should wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and sun protection. The Shoreline Clean-up will proceed rain or shine. Areas we are working in can include varied terrain and vegetation. Volunteers under the age of 13 should stay with a parent or guardian. Student volunteers can bring their hours log for organizers' signatures. Additional information will be shared with all registered volunteers in advance of September 12th.
