Meet The Speakers:


Honourable Rick Glumac

Minister of State for Trade of British Columbia

Bio: 
Rick was appointed Minister of State for Trade in November 2024. He also serves as B.C.’s representative to the Pacific NorthWest Economic Region where he recently completed his term as President. Rick has previously served as the Parliamentary Secretary for Technology as well as the Premier’s Liaison to Washington State. As an MLA he has served on special committees on Reforming the Police Act, Reviewing Private Members Business, and has chaired the committee to review the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Manager, Cargo Development and Partnerships at Vancouver Airport Authority

Bio: Jason has been with YVR since 2000 working previously in Air Service Development for 13 years as well as stints in Corporate Finance and Innovation. He provides subject matter leadership within the organization and community for the air cargo supply chain with the role focused on the key pillars of market intelligence, business development, strategy, partnerships, and innovation.


Rachita Tripathi

Bio: Rachita Tripathi is an International Trade Finance Specialist with 15 years of experience in the banking industry, spanning across Asia and North America. Rachita excels in advising clients on liquidity and risk management solutions for cross border trade.

Bio: Yasmine Fouad is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience, currently a Senior Relationship Manager at Export Development Canada (EDC) based in Vancouver, BC. With a strong background in international trade and finance, Yasmine has been active in helping Canadian exporters navigate complex trade disruptions and leverage opportunities in global markets. Her expertise in mitigating risks and diversifying export strategies has been a valuable asset to her clients. 

Janel Quiring
 
Director for Trade Policy and Outreach

Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation (BC)


Bio: Janel is a Director in the Trade Policy, Analytics and Marketing Branch of the Ministry of Jobs, Economic Development and Innovation with the Province of British Columbia. With over 30 years of experience, she has worked in trade policy since 2007. Presently, she is focused on delivering Free Trade Agreement workshops to raise awareness about the opportunities contained in Canada’s extensive network of FTAs and to inform B.C. businesses and entrepreneurs about how to use them.



Global trade experts will also be joining the panel to share market-specific insights.
